Hello! I'm Sarah

I am a qualified therapeutic counsellor providing a professional and confidential counselling service.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)  with full  indemnity insurance.

Once upon a time I booked myself onto an introductory counselling course wondering if it would lead to a job I was searching for that would match my passions and fulfil my desire of helping people. As a fully qualified counsellor I feel honoured and priveledged to be in a position where I can be part of a positive difference to peoples lives. They say if you love your job you will never work a day in your life...so true for me.

What is counselling?

Counselling is a process when people want to change something in their lives, or simply explore their thoughts and feelings in a safe, non-judgmental and confidential environment through form of a talking therapy.

How can I help you?

I mainly work in a person-centred way which means I will put myself in your shoes, give you acceptance and be genuine with you.

Recognising that no one person is the same, I will tailor your session to suit you so I might also work in an integrated way; drawing upon useful resources and a range of techniques to best support you.

Experience

I have over four years of experience working therapeutically with adults providing 1:1 counselling in various settings; working both face to face and remotely.

Having previously worked for the NHS Mental Health Team it gave me  an invaluable insight into the challenges ill mental health can have on individuals and their families.

Alongside my private practice I am employed as a Cluster School Therapist and School Counsellor working with children and young people.

Sarah has provided a safe space for me to explore my own mind, experiences, relationships and helped me gain perspective that I've sorely needed in my life. Her person-centred approach has allowed me to explore difficult and unexpected things and help me naviagte my feelings in a way that feels authentic and real. As a trainee counsellor I've developed massavley and as a father, son, brother and partner even more. Thank you for heloing me to feel comfortable in being myself.
Thank you for all the help and support that you gave to me Sarah. You really helped me to get through a difficult time in my life! I have also managed to overcome some recent events which would normally  have taken me years or never to deal with and let go. You are a fantastic beautiful lady with a very warm heart.
Thank you so much for all your support getting me to a place where I feel a better person and able to cope with my family issues. I wouldn't be where I am now if I hadn't made that message. I feel like a new person.
